Nicholas Rabba chosen to be the NDP candidate in Mississauga-Streetsville

MISSISSAUGA — New Democrats in Mississauga-Streetsville have nominated writer, artist and local business advocate Nicholas Rabba as their Ontario NDP candidate for the 2022 provincial election.

Quotes

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath
“It’s exciting to welcome Nicholas to our Peel NDP team. Nicholas will fit right in with his passion for fighting for his community’s needs — like public health resources and support for local businesses and workers hurt by the pandemic. The hardworking families of Mississauga are tired of being ignored and left behind, and they’re especially worried about their kids. With Nicholas and an NDP government on their side, Mississauga will finally get investment — into schools, mental health supports and more opportunity for youth — instead of more Liberal and Conservative big cuts and bad choices.”

Nicholas Rabba, NDP candidate for Mississauga-Streetsville
“Everyday families in Mississauga-Streetsville shouldn’t have to settle for a government that refuses to provide the support Peel has needed during the pandemic — from paid sick days to vaccine supplies. They deserve a representative who will fight tooth and nail for them at Queen’s Park, and that’s exactly what I plan to do. Electing Andrea Horwath’s New Democrats means expanded and improved health care for our growing community, as well as good jobs, great schools, and homes young families can afford.

“I’m fighting for local business owners too, like the ones in Streetsville’s downtown area, who struggled to hold on to their businesses during months of economic crisis, and the on-and-off lockdowns of Ontario’s too-little-too-late pandemic response. In this province, my immigrant family went from toiling away at a Mac’s Milk to founding a successful chain of grocery stores that, today, proudly bears our family name. I want every small business owner to have the support they need to find that kind of success.”
